Store your downloaded pictures in one folder with Windows XP!
When you're downloading pictures from your digital camera to your computer, you most likely want to store them on your PC as quickly as possible so you can start emailing them to your friends and relatives. Luckily, with Windows XP, you can automatically download your images to a specified folder whenever you plug in your digital camera. If you're using a Plug and Play camera that supports PTP (picture transfer protocol), you can configure this option in no time flat.
All you need to do is to open My Computer, right-click on your camera icon, and choose Properties. In the Properties dialog box, select the Events tab. Next, select the Save All Pictures To This Folder option button, and then specify your chosen folder from the list or click the Browse button to locate it. Once you've found it, click OK to close the dialog box, and your pictures automatically download to this folder from now on.
